How To Treat Acne With Herbal And Natural Treatments

Despite extensive ongoing studies, there is no proven method yet on how to keep acne from recurring. If ever there was person that did know what caused acne and how to prevent it, they would, without a doubt, become millionaires in the shortest time ever.

The most common preventative products for acne are ointments, soaps and lotions. Many offer herbal remedies for acne and natural acne medications. One question however remains-are they really that effective?

Companies that manufacture these products of course believe that their products are the answer to your prayer and they'd like you to believe the same. They will tell you that there has been many a happy customer and yet fail to produce any real significant scientific data proving that their product is a powerful acne fighter. The problem is stems from the fact that there is no organization available to investigate whether these companies are making a false claim or not.

One thing is true- herbal/natural remedies have been used since the beginning of time. Using naturally made substances was for a very long time a necessity as people did not have the know-how to manufacture medications. Modern day medicines are just that- modern. They did not exit in olden times.

For centuries, humans ate what came naturally, either growing vegetables or fruit on a farm or plucking it from the ground after finding it in the countryside. For meat they killed animals, which they raised on farms or animals roamed in the wild. Day to day life was much more difficult and humans did not live as long, but were, ironically, rather quite healthy. Humans until recently were more healthy due to the fact their diets consisted of foods that were taken directly from the earth and were not processed. Also, unlike today, in olden times humans were not exposed to dangerous chemicals and pesticides.

What herbal remedies are the most beneficial in our battle against acne? To find this answer it is best to scan through the numerous articles available on the subject matter, try the various herbal remedies, and then come to your own conclusions as to what works and what doesn’t.

Antibiotics are commonly prescribed to fight acne. However, Tea Tree oil and Echinacea are two natural substances that have also been found to be effective at ridding the skin of acne. Contact a dermatologist as he might possibly have some ideas as to what natural/herbal remedies work best.

There is a wealth of products available to you that are naturally made, from mud masks, to facial peels, to Tea Tree oil cleansers and toners. Buying products made from companies with sound reputations and carefully reading labels to ensure that your skin is in good hands will go a long way towards keeping your skin acne- free.

Myths come from ignorance. They are generally handed down to us by others - our grandparents, parents, teachers, books, friends, newspapers, magazines, the society and so on. Because myths masquerade as facts, we often accept them blindly.
